NORFOLK, Va. – Only a handful of tickets remain for Old Dominion's home football opener against Virginia Tech Friday night, and they will go on sale Monday morning at 10:30.
 
ODU placed the final 1,300 tickets remaining on sale to members of the Old Dominion Athletic Foundation on Friday and most quickly sold out.
 
Many of the remaining tickets are in The Deck, a new premium seating area. To purchase tickets in The Deck, call Justin Ross at 757-683-3360.
 
Some tickets also remain in general seating. To purchase those tickets, call the ODU Ticket Office at 757-683-4444.
 
The Deck is a premium area on the second-floor concourse that includes an all-you-can eat buffet, soft drinks, a cash bar and three large-screen TV's in a location where fans can mingle. It is steps away from stadium seating, but also offers unobstructed views of the playing field and the TowneBank scoreboard.
 
It has been marketed to corporations as an ideal venue to meet with business partners or potential prospects, but tickets are open to anyone.
 
Season tickets in the Deck are $1,000. Single-game tickets for Virginia Tech are $350 and $150 for ODU's other five home games.
 
ODU has seen a huge increase in ticket sales this season. ODU sold 5,164 more season tickets than last season, a 72 percent increase. In all, ODU has sold 12,364 season tickets.
 
The Tech-ODU game begins at 7 p.m. and will be televised nationally on ESPNU.
