NORFOLK, Va. -- The 2022 Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) University Division Women's Tennis All-State teams were announced on Tuesday afternoon and the Old Dominion Monarchs came away with two honorees.

Yuliia Starodubtseva was named to the first team singles, while she and Tatsiana Sasnouskaya were first team doubles honorees. Sasnouskaya was also selected to the second team in singles.

Starodubtseva had a stellar senior season finishing with a 30-6 mark. She was a three-time Conference USA Athlete of the Week and two-time Athlete of the Month. Recorded a win over the top-ranked singles player from Princeton earlier in the spring. She won 17 matches in a row heading into the NCAA Tournament and helped lead the team to a second straight NCAA Tournament appearance and second straight opening round win, defeating Furman 5-0. She earned ITA All-American honors last month.

In doubles, Starodubtseva and Sasnouskaya finished with a 33-7 overall mark and 14-3 this spring. They took second place at ITA All-American and ITA Fall National Championship and won ITA Atlantic Super Regional. They recorded a win over top-ranked duo from Oklahoma in fall. In the spring, they lead ODU to its second straight Conference USA crown. They both earned ITA All-American honors last month.

Sasnouskaya was ranked as high as 53rd this spring and won 10 matches in a row for her longest streak this season. She had a pair of nationally-ranked wins in back-to-back matches defeating Georgia Tech (38th ranked Bilchev) and Ole Miss (80th ranked Machalova) as ODU won Atlanta Regional in ITA Kickoff Weekend.
