ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Old Dominion University senior women's golfer Jana Melichova heads to the NCAA Ann Arbor Regional on beginning on Monday to compete in the three-day event.
Melichova will compete in the regional as an individual and will tee off on Monday morning at 10:50 a.m. (EDT) on the first hole.
Melichova's appearance in the NCAA Tournament is the fifth consecutive for the women's golf program and the second time Melichova will participant. ODU played in the Big Dance in 2017-19 as a team, and while there was no tournament in 2020, Leah Onosato qualified as an individual in 2021. A native of Pikovice, Czech Republic, Melichova shot a +10 226 to finish in 57th at the 2019 NCAA Tournament Regional at Cle Elum in Washington.
A three-time All-Conference USA honoree, Melichova recorded a top-10 finish in each of the C-USA Championships she played in. She placed 10th in 2019, finished second a year ago and recorded a third-place spot this season.
