Tara Enneking Named C-USA Winter Spirit of Service Award Winner

DALLAS – Old Dominion University junior women's swimmer Tara Enneking was named ODU's recipient of the Conference USA Spirit of Service Award, the C-USA announced.
 
The award honors student-athletes with significant community service endeavors, good academic standing and participation in their sport.
 
In the pool during 2021-22, Enneking placed third at the Conference USA Championship in the 200 IM this season and finished sixth at the C-USA meet in the 100 backstroke. A civil engineering major with a 3.74 GPA, Enneking is a five-time C-USA Honor Roll student and Dean's List selection and two-time C-USA Academic medal honoree
 
On campus, she is a member of SAAC and is part of the Championship Effort Committee. Her community service efforts include working with the For Kids program Thanksgiving food basket drive, the HACE and ODU police Christmas toy drive and is a regular pen pal for the ODU kids club. Additionally, she's helped create and distribute blessing bags for Valentine's for Veterans while volunteering at the 9/11 dinner, the fan zone at sport evenings and helping with Monarch move-in.
