NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men's basketball team will celebrate Senior Day as the Monarchs host Middle Tennessee on Saturday at Chartway Arena.  The Senior Day ceremony will be at 1:50 p.m., with tipoff at 2 p.m.
 
Old Dominion (12-18, 7-10) will be the fifth seed from the East Division in the upcoming 2022 Heritage Landscape Supply Group Conference USA Championship.   They will face the fourth seed from the West Division on Wednesday night at 9 p.m. EST in a game streamed on ESPN+.
 
The Monarchs enter after a 67-54 loss at Louisiana Tech on Wednesday night.  Austin Trice had his 12th double-double on the season with 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead three in double figures.  ODU held a 27-25 lead at half, but saw the Bulldogs hit seven of their first eight 3-point attempts in the second half to take the win.
 
C.J. Keyser leads ODU in scoring at 14 points per game, with Trice coming in second at 13.3 points and a team-best 9.0 rebounds per game.  Kalu Ezikpe is third in scoring at 11.2 points per game and second in rebounding at 7..0 per contest.
 
Middle Tennessee heads to Norfolk after falling at Charlotte 60-56 which snapped an eight-game winning streak.  The Blue Raiders have clinched the number one seed from the East Division and could be a potential quarterfinal opponent for ODU if they advance to Thursday's games.
 
Josh Jefferson leads the Blue Raiders in scoring (14.6 ppg) to top three in double figures.  Eli Lawrence (10.8 ppg and team high 42 steals) along with Donovan Sims (10.6 ppg and team-high 80 assists) follow Jefferson in scoring.
