ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Old Dominion University sailing competed in a pair of regattas this weekend in Maryland.
ODU finished 14th at the Graham Hall Team Race and 16th at the St. Mary's Women's Regatta.
At the Graham Hall Team Race, the Monarchs went 2-5 with race wins over King's Point and New York Maritime.
The skippers were Bridget Groble, John Glenn, Parker Purrington and Rider Odom. The crew were Jefferson Elkin, Isabelle Kanach, Makalynne Dyer and Ethan Tutt.
At St. Mary's, the Division A duo of Elizabeth Gildea and Allison Volk totaled a pair of top-10 race finishes out of 18 races, including a top finish of fifth.
The Division B team of Megan Geith and Katherine Barton notched 11 top-10 finishes and also had a top finish of fifth.
Old Dominion returns home this weekend to host the annual Szambecki Team Race.
