NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women's golf team faces a stern test at the Briar's Creek Invitational this Monday and Tuesday. The Monarchs are one of 15 teams ranked inside the Golfstat top-100 in the field, including four top-50 programs. Live scoring for all three rounds is available via Golfstat.
The invitational gets underway on Monday with a 9 a.m. shotgun start and 36 holes of continuous play. ODU is teeing off on holes 15, 16 and 17 alongside Boston College and Tulane. Tuesday's third round begins at 8:45 with another shotgun start.
The Monarchs last competed at The Show at Spanish Trail Feb. 14-15. ODU battled extreme wind in the final round to finish 10th out of 16 teams. Federica Torre parleyed a second-round 69 into a 54-hole total of 220 and a tie for ninth place.
ODU featured in the Briar's Creek Invitational last season, placing seventh out of 18 teams. Jana Melichova paced the Monarchs with a 5-over 221 and a tie for 13th.
What's Next
ODU competes in the Chattanooga Classic March 27-29.
