NORFOLK, Va. – Sophomore Alexandra Viktorovich earned her second straight Conference USA Athlete of the Week award as announced on Wednesday afternoon by the league office.
The Jonkoping, Sweden native went 2-0 at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Indoor Nationals last week and knocked off the 23rd-ranked Taisiya Packkaleva of Pepperdine 6-1, 6-4 in the opening round dual with the Waves.
"Alex has had a great start to the season. She was extremely tough and resilient at the national indoors highlighted by another top 25 win in singles. She's playing lights out and I am excited for Alex to be recognized once again by the conference," said ODU Head Coach Dominic Manilla.
ODU (4-4) returns to action on Friday at 1 p.m. hosting Virginia Tech inside the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center.
