2022 Football Fan Information

Starting on March 1, ODU Football season tickets will go on sale for the 2022 season, and will be available for 2021 tickets holders to renew their seats. The 2022 season will be one of the most anticipated campaigns in ODU Football history, after the Monarchs won their last five games of the regular-season and made an appearance in the Myrtle Beach Bowl. Fans can also look forward to the return of the Virginia Tech Hokies to S.B. Ballard Stadium in 2022. This will be Virginia Tech's first game in Norfolk since 2018, when the Monarchs defeated the Hokies, 49-35, in front of a sellout crowd. The Monarchs also welcome a second in-state team who appeared in a bowl game in 2021, the Liberty Flames. Purchase your season tickets today to ensure your seat for these two highly-anticipated home games. 


Football game day policies include:
Outdoor Seating

  • Face coverings are not required in the outdoor seating areas of SB Ballard Stadium.  Patrons can wear Face coverings but is at the discretion of the individual guest. 

Indoor Public Spaces

  • Face coverings are required in all indoor enclosed spaces, including, but not limited to restrooms, elevators, shuttles, etc.

Priority Automotive Club/PNC Gridiron Club

  • Face coverings are required in all indoor spaces except when guests are eating or drinking. Face coverings are not required in the outdoor seating areas.   

Kaufman Mall/Tailgate Lots

  • Face coverings are not required in tailgating lots or Kaufman Mall as these are outdoor areas.

Press Box 

  • Face coverings are required for all individuals throughout the first and sixth floor press areas.
  • Members of the media are not required to wear a face covering on the field if fully vaccinated, per C-USA policy distancing is still required.

Staff

  • All employees will be required to wear a face covering while working indoors.

Mobile Ticketing
ODU now offers mobile ticketing for season and single game football ticket purchases. Season ticket holders who purchase or renew their seats prior to May 1, can elect to receive physical tickets, which will be sent via mail, or may choose to receive mobile tickets, sent digitally. Access to S.B. Ballard Stadium premium seating areas will remain as physical tickets, lanyards or wristbands.  Mobile-delivered season tickets are sent to ticket holders w few weeks in advance of the first home game of the season. Mobile-delivered single-game tickets are generally sent immediately to the customer. Ticket holders will receive an email with a link they can use to view and download their mobile tickets by adding them to their digital wallets. Fans will also be able to access their mobile tickets through their YnotTix.com account, where they have the option to print their tickets from home.

ODU Sports 360 App
The latest addition of ODU's creative content, ODU Sports 360 app features up to date information on all the latest Monarch teams. Visit the App Store or Google Play and search for ODU Sports to download the app today. The app is a free download.
 
Concessions
ODU's food provider, Aramark, will offer pre-packaged food in the stadium and on Kaufman Mall using cashless payment, only.
 
Gameday Parking/Tailgate Information
For those fans with a reserved tailgate parking spot, you should have received your hang tag in the mail. If you do not have a reserved parking space, the two parking decks on either side of Chartway Arena, on 43rd and 45th street, are free and open to the public. Please visit ODAF's website for more information.
 
Clear Bag Policy
Fans will be allowed to bring in one clear bag and one small bag (clutch or small purse) per person. Please see the image below for what can and cannot be brought into the stadium. 
Clear bags will be available for purchase in the village bookstore. 

Game Programs
Like ticketing, ODU has switched to a digital program in 2022. Fans will be able to use a QR code on their phone to find the gameday program.
