NORFOLK, Va. – Head coach of the Old Dominion University women's golf team Mallory Hetzel announced today the full schedule for the upcoming 2021-22 season. The Monarchs will play four events in the fall and six in the spring and will host the rebranded Evie Odom Invitational at Princess Anne Country Club in early October.

The season begins on Sept. 12 with the two-day William & Mary Fall Invitational. The event is being played on the River Course at Kingsmill Resort, the host venue for the LPGA's annual Pure Silk Championship.

ODU then moves on to University Ridge Golf Course in Madison, Wisconsin for the Badger Invitational, Sept. 19-21. University Ridge G.C. has played host to an annual PGA Tour Champions event since 2016 and has also been the venue for the 1998 NCAA Division I women's golf championship, multiple Big Ten championships and an NCAA women's golf regional in 2018. The Monarchs competed in that 2018 Madison Regional after receiving their first-ever at-large bid and placed 14th.

Old Dominion returns closer to home for its next event, the Bryan National Collegiate at the Bryan Park Champions Course in Greensboro, North Carolina. The event, which runs Sept. 26-28, annually attracts the top-rated women's golf programs in DI.

"We are excited to play a new schedule this fall," Hetzel said. "Playing at William & Mary will give us an opportunity to gain some early season momentum close to home. Wisconsin is a championship course with a field of teams from all over the country. The Bryan National is one of the most premiere tournaments in all of college golf. "

The Monarchs wrap up the fall season by hosting the Evie Odom Invitational at Princess Anne Country Club in Virginia Beach from Oct. 3-5. This is the third installment of ODU's annual fall tournament, formerly called the Princess Anne Invitational.

"Our home tournament has a new sponsor and new name," Hetzel said. "The Evie Odom Invitational is named in honor of Evie Odom, a great friend and supporter of ODU women's golf. The Odoms have graciously contributed to the tournament at Princess Anne Country Club, and we appreciate all their efforts to make this a successful tournament."

Following a four-month break, Old Dominion returns to competition at the UCF Challenge, which runs Feb. 6-8 at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando, Florida. The UCF Challenge has become a regular staple for the Monarchs, who have participated in the event each year since 2017.

The next week, ODU travels cross country to Las Vegas and The Show at Spanish Trail. The event runs Feb. 14-15 at Spanish Trail Country Club, a course that has hosted a PGA Tour event five times in its history.

After its adventure out west, Old Dominion plays the Briar's Creek Invitational in Johns Island, South Carolina. Another familiar event for the Monarchs, the Invitational goes March 14-15 at The Golf Club at Briar's Creek.

The regular season winds down with two final events, the Chattanooga Classic and the Indiana Invitational. The Chattanooga Classic runs March 27-29 at The Course at Black Creek. The Indiana Invitational goes April 9-10 at The Pfau Course in Bloomington, Indiana.

The first three stroke play rounds of the Conference USA Championship run April 18-20 with match play semifinals and finals to follow. The location and host course of the championship will be announced at a later date.
