DALLAS – Old Dominion University football linebacker Jordan Young was named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team, C-USA announced on Thursday.
A native of Coatesville, Pennsylvania, Young has already earned his undergraduate degree in sport management with a 3.63 GPA and will earn his master's degree in sport management this semester. A Dean's List student, Young is also a member of the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll.
On the field, Young leads the Monarchs this season with 93 tackles and is one shy of the career tackles mark held by Craig Wilkins. Young also has 3.5 tackles for loss, one sack, an interception and fumble recovery. Young had 11 tackles and the interception and fumble recovery in Saturday's 56-34 win over Charlotte.
A two-time team captain, Young was ODU's nominee this season for the Wuerffel Trophy.
