DALLAS -- The Old Dominion women's tennis team finished a sweep of the Conference USA Athlete of the Month awards with the doubles tandem of Yuliia Starodubtseva and Tatsiana Sasnouskaya being recognized for the month of November.
Starodubtseva earned her honor in October, while Sasnouskaya took the conference honor in September.
The duo went 4-1 at the ITA Fall Nationals in San Diego, advancing to the finals with a three-set win over the second-seeded tandem from Texas A&M. They recorded wins over Michigan State, Arkansas and North Carolina.
Head Coach Dominic Manilla was extremely pleased with the fall season for the third-ranked duo in the country. "What an amazing semester Yuliia and Tanya have had sweeping all three monthly awards this fall. It's been an exciting ride so far, and I know this motivates us all to work even harder. Go Monarchs."
