DALLAS – Myah Conway of the Old Dominion volleyball team was named Conference USA Freshman of the Week, the organization announced on Monday. Conway led the Monarchs in kills in a two-match sweep of Middle Tennessee to end the season.
Conway tallied 31 kills (3.88 per set) in her two matches against the Blue Raiders and did so while posting a .371 attacking percentage. The native of Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania set the match high in kills in both contests with 16 on Friday and 15 the following day. Conway attacked at a .414 clip in Friday's 3-1 win, committing just four errors on 29 total swings and chipping in three blocks and three digs. On Saturday, she hit .333 with four digs and four total blocks.
A rightside hitter, Conway finished the year with the third-most kills (195) on the team and was third in total blocks (70) as well. She receives freshman of the week honors for the second time this year, having also done so on Sept. 20.
