DALLAS - Old Dominion sophomore women's tennis player Tatsiana Sasnouskaya was named the Conference USA women's tennis Athlete of the Month, C-USA announced on Tuesday.
A native of Minsk,Belarus, Sasnouskaya, half of the No. 57 nationally ranked doubles team with Yuliia Starodubtseva, took down the No. 1, No. 15 and No. 29 ranked doubles teams en route to a national runner-up finish at the ITA All-American Championships. The duo then went onto win the ITA Atlantic Super Regional after going a perfect 4-0, advancing to the ITA National Fall Championships in November.
In singles at the All-Americans, No. 77 Sasnouskaya advanced to the Round of 32 of the Qualifying Draw after defeating No. 121 Iuliia Bryzgalova of Penn 6-2, 6-1. In singles at the Super Regionals, Sasnouskaya won her first three matches to advance to the semifinals.
Sasnouskaya joins Starodubtseva as C-USA women's tennis Athlete of the Month honorees. Starodubtseva earned the honor for October.
