NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion men's and women's swimming sits behind George Washington after the first day of competition of the first meet of the year. The GW women's team leads ODU 103-64, while the Colonials' men's team is up 109-58 on the Monarch men.
Tara Enneking gave ODU its first win of the year, with a victory in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:05.73. Enneking won her second event of the day with a triumph in the 200 IM with a time of 2:04.65.
Peter Durisin followed suit with a win in the men's 100 breaststroke with a time of 57.42.
In his first swim as a Monarch, Liam Redman won the 50 freestyle with a time of 21.08, edging out teammate Noah Wilkins by .02 seconds.
The meet continues tomorrow at the JC Scrap Chandler Pool at 10 a.m.
