NORFOLK, Va. – Following a layoff of nearly three weeks, the Old Dominion men's golf team returns to competition with the Georgia State Invitational, which runs Oct. 11-12 at the Berkeley Hills Country Club in Duluth, Georgia. The Monarchs will play 36 holes on Monday followed by 18 more on Tuesday. Live scoring for all three rounds will be available on Golfstat.
ODU is one of 16 teams in a field that includes fellow Conference USA member Western Kentucky and a pair of Commonwealth foes in Richmond and VCU. Berkeley Hills C.C. is a par-72 track that plays 6,694 yards.
Play on Monday begins with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start for the first round with the second round to follow shortly thereafter. Tuesday's final round begins at 8 a.m.
The Monarchs last competed in the River Run Collegiate, Sept. 20-21 in Davidson, North Carolina. ODU tied for fifth at the event and saw Gustav Fransson and Rasmus Konradsson tie for 16th at 221 (+5). Konradsson shot a 2-under 70 in the final round, the Monarchs' best round of the 54-hole event.
