NORFOLK, Va.– The Old Dominion women's soccer team fell 1-0 on Senior Night to FIU in Norfolk. ODU concludes the regular season at Florida Atlantic on Thursday, Oct. 28.

Head coach Angie Hind said, "We're obviously bitterly disappointed. Really disappointed. We knew we had to score first with the type of game it was. Unfortunately, we gave up an own goal. Ironically, we haven't given up a goal in the longest time and then we actually put the ball in our own net. From there on out we threw everything at them".

FIU (2-11-1, 1-4-2 C-USA) received the lone goal of the match. The goal was recorded as an own goal after the ball ricocheted off a Monarch following Estefania Cardona's cross in the 11th minute of the match.

ODU (9-4-1, 5-1-1 C-USA) outshot FIU in the first half 11-3. The Monarchs also had two corner kicks to the Panthers' one. FIU's Ithaisa Vinoly had four saves, to Kasey Perry's one.

The game would remain scoreless after the own goal as ODU continued the attack in the second half, outshooting FIU 13-3.
