NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Old Dominion University sailing competed in a trio of events over the weekend, coming in third at the Oyster Bowl in St. Mary's, Maryland. 
 
ODU placed 12th at the Atlantic Coast Championships. The Division A team of Bridget Groble, Parker Purrington and Makalynne Dyer placed 13th, while the Division B squad of Rider Odom and Isabelle Kanach came in seventh. The teams combined for six, top-five finishes and one race win.
 
Two ODU teams participated at a pair of events at the Oyster Bowl in Maryland. The Monarchs placed third in the Spat Division. The Division B team of Megan Geith and Katherine Barton placed fifth overall with six top-five finishes, while Elizabeth Gildea and Jefferson Elkin were eighth overall with five top-five places.
 
The Monarchs took sixth in the Oyster Bowl Pearl Division. Jack Glenn and Allison Volk came in ninth overall with a pair of top-five spots, while Andrew Ciszewski and Grace O'Brien had a top finish of third to come in 12th overall.
