NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women's soccer team returns to the ODU Soccer Complex, looking to extend its winning streak to six by taking on Marshall in its fourth C-USA game on Friday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. Friday night's match will stream on CUSA.tv.
Old Dominion (7-2-0) won its third conference match against Middle Tennessee 2-0 last Friday night in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Carla Morich led the Monarchs to victory scoring in the 14th and 40th minutes of the game. Morich led ODU in shots with six, followed by Megan Watts with three. Jasmine Crawley played all 90 minutes, making two saves, and recording her second clean sheet for the season.
Carla Morich leads the Monarchs for the season with four goals and 25 shots. Megan Watts is not far behind with three goals and 27 shots. Morich has also recorded three assists as well as Cami Johnstone. Casey Perry and Jasmine Crawley have established a combined 72% save percentage.
Marshall (3-6-2) is coming off of a 0-0 tie against FIU last Friday night after double overtime. Kat Gonzalez led the Herd on the attack taking seven shots, four on goal, while Meg Jarvis assisted taking four shots, one on goal. Gonzalez is ranked sixth in C-USA for shots per game (28). Mira Pastoff was able to keep FIU out of the net for 110 minutes, recording four saves.
The last time Old Dominion and Marshall played against each other was in March of 2021 in Huntington, where ODU won 3-0.
