Carla Morich Named C-USA Offensive Player of the Week

NORFOLK, Va. – Carla Morich of the Old Dominion women's soccer team was named the Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by league officials on Tuesday afternoon.  

Morich scored both goals for ODU in a 2-0 road victory over C-USA rival Middle Tennessee that pushed the Monarchs' win streak to five games. She scored the two goals in the first half in the 14th and 40th minutes. The junior midfielder from Hamburg, Germany had six shots (two on goal) in the game and was the only C-USA player to have two goals in conference action during the weekend.  

She leads the Monarchs offense with four goals and 11 points. Morich has started all nine matches this season for ODU while recording 25 shots, nine shots on goal, and three assists.  

Morich and the Monarchs will return to the pitch Friday, Oct. 1 when Old Dominion takes on Marshall at the ODU Soccer Complex at 7 p.m.
