NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women's soccer team will head out on the road to play its third conference match of the season against Middle Tennessee on Friday night at the Dean A. Hayes Track & Soccer Stadium in Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Old Dominion (6-2-0) won its second conference match 1-0 over UAB in Norfolk on Sunday night. The Monarchs were led on offense by Yuliia Khrystiuk who recorded two shots and one goal. ODU was led on defense by Kasey Perry who made one save and recorded her third straight clean sheet of the season. Against UAB, Old Dominion hit a season high of 26 shots.
Middle Tennessee (5-4-1) is coming off of a 2-1 loss against WKU on Sunday night. The Blue Raiders were led by Jennifer Francis who scored the lone goal and Eleanor Gough who assisted Francis, along with three shots and one on goal. Senior Peyton DePriest sits at the top of the conference in goals (8), shots (48), and points (19).
The last time Old Dominion and Middle Tennessee played against each other was in March of 2021 at the ODU Soccer Complex, when MTSU won 1-0.
