NORFOLK, Va. – Individuals from the Old Dominion women's tennis team are set to commence fall competition this weekend at the Wahoowa Invitational, hosted by Virginia in Charlottesville on September 17-19.
The Wahoowa Invitational will welcome some of the top teams across the country according to last season's year-end ITA Rankings, as the field includes members from No. 6 NC State, No. 9 Virginia, No. 22 Auburn, No. 30 Old Dominion, No. 58 Kansas and No. 66 Penn State.
The results of the Wahoowa Invitational will be structured as individual based head-to-head matches, as both singles and doubles matches will be played.
No. 36 Yuliia Starodubtseva, No. 76 Marina Alcaide and No. 77 Tatsiana Sasnouskaya are all nationally ranked by the ITA in singles. No. 57 Starodubtseva/Sasnouskaya are also nationally ranked for doubles entering the fall season.
