NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women's soccer team is packed and flying to San Antonio, Texas to play their first conference match against UTSA on Thursday at 8 p.m. at the Park West Athletics Complex. 

ODU (4-2) has momentum after winning 2-0 against American last Thursday. Kasey Perry was able to get her first clean sheet of the season and fifth of her career. Megan Watts scored the first goal for ODU which was her third for the season. Cami Johnstone had an assist and a goal of her own to put the game out of reach. 

UTSA (5-2-1) is coming off of a 2-1 win and a 1-1 tie after playing in the Drury Hotels Invitational last weekend. The Roadrunners faced Lamar on Friday night, when they outshot Lamar 11-6 and had more corner opportunities (5-3). On Sunday afternoon, UTSA came back after being down 1-0 for 45 minutes against Houston Baptist to earn a draw. Ellis Patterson was a key player for UTSA scoring one goal against Houston Baptists and dishing out one assist against Lamar. 

The last time ODU and UTSA played against each other was in 2019 at the ODU Soccer Complex, where the Monarchs won 3-0.
