NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women's soccer team (2-1, 0-0 C-USA) return home to square off against the Rams of VCU (3-1, 0-0 A10).
Old Dominion gained momentum last week with its first win on the road, after defeating William & Mary 1-0. Megan Watts had the lone goal of the game, as well as three shots. The Monarchs also hit a season high for shots taken in a match (15).
VCU will be playing their second straight road game of four total. The Rams won last week 2-1 over Liberty where all three goals scored were in the second half. Aileen Gutherie has been a dangerous attacker so far for VCU, scoring the first goal against Liberty and one goal against James Madison, making her the team's top goal scorer.
The last time ODU and VCU took the pitch was during the 2021 spring season. Old Dominion was unable to find the net resulting in a 4-0 loss on the road.
