NORFOLK, Va. – Carter Trice was named a Baseball America second-team All-American, the publication announced. The honor adds to the numerous accolades Trice has received this post-season, as he was named a second-team All-America by Collegiate Baseball and earned Freshman All-American honors from Perfect Game Baseball, Collegiate Baseball and the NCBWA.

Trice led the Monarchs with a .355 batting average, in hits with 83, doubles with 17 and in total bases with 148. He finished in the top-20 in the nation among freshman in eight categories, including fourth in total bases, sixth in hits and seventh in runs scored with 57.
