Morgan Earns Conference USA Men’s Golfer of the Week Honors

DALLAS – Carter Morgan has been selected as the Conference USA Men's Golfer of the Week, the conference announced on Friday afternoon.
 
Morgan shared medalist honors at the Golfweek Spring Invitational after carding a 13-under 203 (70-68-65) at the par-72, 6,940-yard True Blue Golf Club on Pawleys Island, South Carolina. The senior from Tappahannock, Virginia surged on the final day, firing a tournament-low 65.  Morgan blazed through the back nine on Tuesday, going 6-under over his last nine holes. He capped off his round with an eagle on the 15th and three-straight birdies on the 16th, 17th and 18th holes.
 
Across the three-round event, Morgan tallied the second-most birdies (14) and shared the tournament high with a pair of eagles. He and co-medalist No. 36-ranked Pontus Nyholm of Campbell topped the field of 57 individuals with a 6-under mark on par 4s.
