NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men's golf team prepares to play in the Conference USA Championship, which runs April 26-29 at the Texarkana Country Club in Texarkana, Arkansas. The tournament begins with 54 holes of stroke play. After the conclusion of the first three rounds, the top four teams advance to match play semifinals and finals on April 29.
The Monarchs have competed in five tournaments during the spring season. ODU notched a pair of top-five finishes, including a runner-up result at the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate. The team also placed third at the Golfweek Spring Invitational.
A pair of Monarchs in Jakob Henriksson and Carter Morgan garnered medalists honors this season. Henriksson took first at the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate at 5-under and was the lone player to finish under par. Morgan followed up with a co-medalist finish at the Golfweek Spring Invitational – turning in a score of 13-under after a final-round 65.
Morgan (72.1) and Henriksson (72.8) rank first and second on the team, respectively, in stroke average.
