NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women's soccer team (1-3-1) will welcome Middle Tennessee (0-1-0) to the ODU Soccer Complex on Friday, March 5 at 7 p.m. EST. Friday night's game will be streamed on CUSA.TV. To accommodate Monarch fans as a result of the difficult circumstances related to the pandemic, the ODU Athletics department is pleased to offer free admission to all home ODU soccer matches for the 2021 season.
"Our players are very upbeat," said ODU head coach Angie Hind. "To play at home is so special and our players get such a lift from it, so we are very excited to play Friday night under the lights in our first home conference game in a long time."
The Monarchs enter Friday's contest with an unbeaten 1-0-1 record when playing at the ODU Soccer Complex, while ODU's defense has yet to allow a single goal in 200 total minutes when playing on its own pitch so far this season.
The Blue Raiders enter Friday's match in Norfolk with a 0-1-0 record after dropping their season opener to Western Kentucky by a 3-1 score in Murfreesboro on Feb. 26.
A total of 824 fans will be allowed to attend home ODU soccer games due to COVID-19 restrictions. Fans will be admitted on a first come, first served basis. The gate on 43rd Street will open 60 minutes prior to kickoff. Fans can park in Lot 43.
