NORFOLK, Va. – Junior Leah Onosato was named Conference USA Player of the Week as announced by the league Thursday morning. The Kumamoto, Japan native finished as runner-up at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational on Wednesday afternoon.
Onosato recorded her best career finish. She notched six birdies over the 54-hole event, which was fourth-most in the field of 53 players. She was one of two players to record an eagle at San Antonio Country Club. On par 5s, Onosato averaged a two-under score.
Onosato and the Monarchs return back to action at the Briar's Creek Invitational from March 15-16 in Johns Island, South Carolina.
