NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men's tennis team (6-7) will host a pair of matches at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center this weekend, beginning on Friday, March 12, when the Monarchs welcome James Madison (1-2) for a 1 p.m. start. Then on Sunday, March 14, ODU will take on Temple (0-0) at 11 a.m. All ODU tennis matches are closed to the general public due to COVID-19 restrictions.
"We are excited to be back home, as we try to build on our winning streak," said ODU head coach Dominik Mueller. "We are playing an old CAA rival in JMU, which is exciting. Especially in times like this, we are looking forward to playing teams within our region. Temple is hard to judge since they haven't played a match yet, but they are always well coached, talented and dangerous."
The Monarchs are riding a two-match win streak in which they took down UAB by a 4-0 score in Birmingham and Georgia State by a 4-1 score in Atlanta.
Old Dominion has won six of its last eight matches.
