NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women's soccer team will commence the season on Thursday, Feb. 4 at 6:00 p.m. EST against East Carolina at the ODU Soccer Complex. Thursday night's match will stream on CUSA.TV.
A season ago, ODU compiled 10-4-4 overall record. After going undefeated against non-conference opponents, the Monarchs ended league play unbeaten in six of their last seven matches.
"As a team, we are so very excited to get on the field and compete," said ODU head coach Angie Hind. "This group has worked incredibly hard throughout the fall and over the holidays to come in ready for a competitive season. I think we are all just excited to get out there and test ourselves against some great opponents this spring."
ECU is coming off a 2019 season that saw the Pirates finish 5-10-3 and miss the AAC Tournament by a point. ECU will bring back three of its top four scorers.
Two hundred and fifty fans will be allowed to attend home ODU Soccer games this season. Fans will be admitted on a first come, first served basis. The gate on 43rd Street will open 60 minutes prior to kickoff. Fans can park in Lot 43.
