NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion volleyball team is set to play host to Florida Atlantic on Sunday, Feb. 28 and Monday, March 1. First serve is set for noon for both contests.
 
On Wednesday, ODU will welcome UNCW to the ODU Volleyball Center for a 5 p.m. start.

To accommodate Monarch fans as a result of the difficult circumstances related to the pandemic, the ODU Athletics department is pleased to offer free admission to all ODU volleyball games for the 2021 spring season.  
 
The Monarchs (4-4, 2-2 C-USA) are coming off a three-set loss to Virginia on Friday. Prior to its loss in Charlottesville, ODU battled through a pair of five setters at Middle Tennessee, splitting its series in Murfreesboro.
 
Alessia Sgherza leads the Monarch attack team with 3.45 kills per set, which ranks eighth in the league. Freshman Teresa Atilano paces ODU in both assists (293) and service aces (14).
 
About the Owls
FAU (1-4, 1-2 C-USA) is most recently coming off a 3-2 win over Middle Tennessee on Feb. 14. Head coach Fernanda Nelson begins her ninth season as head coach of the Owls, compiling 126 wins. Individually, Junior Scherine Dahoue leads the Owl offense with 3.26 kills per set, while Aniya Harvey paces the way defensively with 0.79 blocks per set.
 
About the Seahawks
UNCW (0-4) opened its season with back-to-back contests against Clemson, falling in both matches. Head coach Dottie Hampton is off to her season as head coach of the Seahawks. UNCW is paced offensively by Kirsten Badowski, who has knocked down 40 kills this season and averages a .255 attack percentage. On the defensive side, Jazzell Mangosing, averages 2.44 digs per set. The CAA squad is set to face James Madison on Saturday, Feb. 27.
 
ODU VOLLEYBALL FAN INFORMATION
The Center will have limited capacity (Approx. 200) with socially-distanced seating – Seating is first come, first served.
Entrance will open to patrons 60 minutes prior to the start of the match and is located at the NE corner of the Jim Jarrett Athletic Admin. Bldg.
Matches that are open to the public this season do not require a ticket and are free admittance, based on availability.
Concessions will be available for purchase
COVID-19 Guidelines for attending this season:
Mask required for entry. No gaiters
Maintain social distancing while in the facility
No large gatherings inside the facility (10+)
Please sit in the stands in the designated socially-distanced seat locations
Wash hands frequently

Monarch Fan Cutouts
Due to popular demand, the Old Dominion University athletics department has made Monarch Fan Cutouts available for volleyball.
 
The "Monarch Cutouts", presented by Chartway, are available for $59 and will be in attendance at all home games for the 2021 season. Photos of the fan cutouts will be posted on social media throughout the season.
