IRVING, TEXAS - Old Dominion University football senior offensive lineman Isaac Weaver was named the ODU recipient of the Conference USA Fall Spirit of Service Award, C-USA announced on Wednesday.

The award honors the league's student-athletes with significant community service endeavors, good academic standing and participation in their sport. The Spirit of Service award is presented three times throughout the season, with today's honorees representing fall sports: men's and women's cross country, football, men's and women's soccer and volleyball.

A three-year starter on the offensive line for the Monarchs, he has started all 35 games he has played in and has twice been named Conference USA honorable mention. A native of Marietta, Georgia, Weaver earned his undergraduate degree with a 3.4 GPA in biology, and is currently taking Masters classes towards a degree in exercise science.

Weaver helped start the middle school mentor program and recently participated in a teacher parade for the students and was involved in a video program for the Great American Teach Off, which offered elementary students insight on collegiate and professional experience, as well as life as a student-athlete.
