NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University sailor Bridget Groble was named the student representative to the Board of Visitors for the 2020-21 academic year.
A senior from Chicago, Illinois, Groble is a three-year starter on the Monarch sailing team, was named team MVP this season and also earned all-conference honors. She helped ODU to a 10th place finish at last year's national championships. Groble is a biology major and holds a 3.91 grade point average.
"I look forward to the opportunity to represent my fellow students on the ODU Board of Visitors," Groble said. "Throughout the next year I will work to listen to my peers, understand the unique experiences of all students, and be a true representative of Old Dominion's student body."
