NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion men's tennis head coach Dominik Mueller announced the addition of Francois Le Tallec to the roster on Friday afternoon. Le Tallec reigns from Boulogne, France and is transferring to ODU after spending the last two years at Mississippi College. Due to the NCAA's COVID-19 waiver, Le Tallec will be a sophomore for the Monarchs for the 2020-21 season.
"We are excited to add Francois to our roster in the Spring," said Mueller. "Simply put, Francois is a proven winner. His record for the past 12-months of competition is 22-4 and many of those were at a very high level. That record speaks for itself. He will bring a wealth of experience, already having played two years of college tennis, as well as a hunger and desire to improve and win championships with us. We realized very quickly in the recruiting process that his values align with ours. A big shout out goes to my Associate Head Coach, Othmane Lalami, for taking the lead in finding and evaluating Francois."
Le Tallec plans on majoring in business at Old Dominion University.
"I am truly delighted to be able to transfer to such a stunning university like Old Dominion," Le Tallec stated. "It is an opportunity for me to keep improving under very experienced coaches. I look forward to working hard and getting better as an individual, as well as a team. Go Monarchs!"
