ODUSports.com recently polled members of the ODU swim team and asked them a series of questions. This week's question is who is your hero. We asked Peri Farling, Brigid Donnelly and Nikia Campbell.
Who is your Hero
Nikia Campbell - Jr. - Occoquan, Va.
My heroes would have to be my parents. They have worked hard all there life to give me and my sister things that they couldn't have as children. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't be the person I am today. They have taught me so much and I look up to them both for what they have accomplished in their life and more. Being able to finish college and especially being a student-athlete I just want to make them proud of the woman I have become.
Brigid Donnelly - Fr. - Pottstown, Pa.
My parents are my biggest heroes and inspirations in my life. They are both hardworking, intelligent, honest, kind and amazing role models. Always inspiring me, I strive to be like them and have my own family in the future. They have worked incredibly hard to provide the best possible life for my younger sisters and me. I am incredibly grateful for all the support they have provided me in my college search and beyond.
Peri Farling - Fr. - Fairfax, Va.
My hero is my mom. Ever since I was little I have looked up to her and strived to be more like her every day. Every day she helps me to be a better person. She pushes me to reach beyond limits I could ever imagine. She molded me into the person I am today and I am forever grateful.
