ODUSports.com recently polled members of the ODU swim team and asked them a series of questions. This week's question is why did you choose Old Dominion. We asked Alizee Brossier, Hugo Eriksson, Parker Harp and AJ Profaca.

Why Old Dominion

Alizee Brossier – So. – Toulon, France
I chose ODU because it has a good reputation (athletics and school). I also had the chance to have a full scholarship so I didn't hesitate.

Hugo Eriksson – So. – Sollentune, Sweden
Before I came to ODU I was looking at different universities but had difficulties deciding. I found out about Old Dominion from my Swedish swim friend Filip Svedberg, who told me that Old Dominion was a great school and had a really good swim team. It felt right when I went on my recruiting trip and I have never regretted my decision to join the swim team at ODU.

Parker Harp – Jr. – Yorktown, Va.
I chose Old Dominion because it was close to home. I loved the team atmosphere as soon as I stepped foot on campus. The athletics department is very engaged and determinant in each athlete's success. There are a million other reasons for me choosing ODU, those to name a few.

AJ Profaca – So. - Basking Ridge, N.J.
I initially chose ODU because I was looking to study marine biology; however, I am now studying criminal justice. One of the great things about the school is the fact that ODU offers its students many majors to choose from, so although I started my freshman year going in one direction, because of the diverse academic offerings offered at the school I have been able to transition to something else. Moreover, the other thing that drew me to ODU was the swim team. I am lucky to swim with a great group of teammates.
