NORFOLK, Va. - Mindful of the current pandemic and the ongoing national discussion about how and when to begin the college football season, Old Dominion Athletics is adjusting the process for the 2019 season ticket holders to retain the same seats for the 2020 season, starting with eliminating the June 1 date to confirm seats for next season.

"We value our season ticket holders, particularly those who stepped up and purchased season tickets in 2019 for the first year in the new Kornblau Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium," said Dr. Camden Wood Selig, Director of Athletics. "We are still operating with the expectation that our team will open the home season on Friday, September 4 against Wake Forest. However, we understand there is national discussion about the timing of the college football season which has caused uncertainty among some of our fans. Therefore, we are extending the process for our loyal fans until we have clarity on the start of the season.

"Under new head coach Ricky Rahne, we are going to play an exciting brand of football that our fans will love," Selig continued. "The ODU fans have made S.B. Ballard Stadium a special place during the football season, which is why we are taking these extra steps to make it easier for them to secure a seat for the 2020 season. I look forward to cheering for the Monarchs with them soon."

The following changes have been made:

  • ODU Athletics and the Old Dominion Athletic Foundation (ODAF) are not requiring 2019 season ticket holders to respond by the current June 1 date to confirm their seats, make their annual ODAF philanthropic gift, and submit their ODAF Tailgate parking request for the 2020 season. A revised date will be announced later, giving returning season ticket holders the additional time to secure the same seats for the 2020 season.
  • Season ticket holders that use the five-month payment plan prior to June 1 can commit to season tickets with just a 20 percent down payment. Four additional payments will be charged on the first of June, July, August and September. Fans can access the payment plan directly on www.ynottix.com.
  • ODU adjusted season ticket prices for the 2020 season, particularly sideline seats that have no additional membership fee. The ticket price has been reduced to $150 for more than 2,500 reserved sideline seats.
  • New season ticket buyers can purchase tickets for specific seats now for non-membership seating at the $150 and $200 price levels, using the interactive seating map at www.ynottix.com.
  • ODU Athletics has set a refund policy for this year. If for any reason, a portion of the 2020 football schedule does not take place, ticket holders who purchased tickets directly through the ODU Athletic Ticket Office will have the option to either receive a refund for the canceled game(s) or a credit toward a future purchase for the total cost of their ticket, including any corresponding seat membership payment. This guarantee applies to all ticketed ODU Athletics home athletics events.
  • The Old Dominion Athletic Foundation, as in previous years, provides monthly payment plans for annual philanthropic gifts that extend through December. Philanthropic gifts are tax deductible and are non-refundable. Please direct all questions with regards to parking and hospitality to the ODAF via their mainline at (757) 683-6963 or by calling your ODAF representative. Additional ODAF updates can be found at www.olddominionaf.com
  • The Monarchs are set to play a seven-game home schedule that includes visits from ACC opponents Wake Forest and Virginia. For the complete schedule, go to www.odusports.com. For more ticket information, visit www.ynottix.com or call (757) 683-4444.
