Sailing Competes in Three Regattas Over the Weekend

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Old Dominion University Sailing competed in three separate regattas over the weekend.
 
ODU placed ninth at the Charleston Spring Coed. The Division A team of George White and Beau Seibel placed 10^th, while Chris Robertson and Makalynne Dyer took ninth in Division B. White and Seibel had three, top-five finishes, including a race win. Robertson and Dyer also have a trio of top-five finishes.
 
At the St. Mary's Team Race, the Monarchs placed fifth with a 5-9 race record. Skippers for ODU were Dreugh Phillips, Parker Purrington and Bridget Groble, while Emily Harrison, Abigail Tutt and Raymond Domena were crew. ODU delivered wins over Fordham, Jacksonville, South Florida and a pair of wins over St. Mary's.
 
The Monarchs placed 12^th at the Navy Spring Women's regatta. The Division A duo of Hannah Pokorny and Julia Williams-Portland took 13^th, while the Division B team of Colleen Baumann and Katherine Barton took 12^th.
