NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men's basketball team received the No. 8 seed and will take on No. 9 seeded Florida Atlantic on Wednesday, March 11 at 7:00 p.m. ET in the First Round of the 2020 Air Force Reserve Conference USA Basketball Championships presented by Baylor Scott & White Sports Performance Center at The Star in Frisco Texas. Wednesday night's game will air on ESPN+.
The Monarchs won a pair of regular season meetings between against FAU in Norfolk this year. A.J. Oliver II scored 21 points to lead ODU to a 65-55 win on January 25 and Malik Curry poured in 29 during an 85-80 overtime triumph on March 1. Jailyn Ingram led FAU in both outings, with 16 and 19 points, respectively.
In Thursday's quarterfinal round, No. 1 seed North Texas will take on the winner of the Old Dominion-Florida Atlantic game at 7:00 p.m. ET on Stadium.
