NORFOLK, Va. - The Old Dominion (9-2, 0-0 C-USA) baseball team is set to host Big Ten opponent Rutgers at the Bud Metheny Baseball Complex for a weekend series. All three contests will be streamed on CUSA TV.

The Monarchs enter the series after a 17-2 win over VMI in its midweek tilt. Two, six-run innings propelled ODU to its largest margin of victory over an opponent since 2017 when the Monarchs defeated FIU, 21-1 at the Bud on May 13. Through 11 games, the Monarch pitching staff has posted a 11.9 K/9 rate, the 15th-best mark in the nation. Ryne Moore's 2.20 ERA is the best out of the Monarch starting rotation. Also strong for ODU is its offense, the Monarchs are batting .324, which is 13th-best in the nation.
