COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Old Dominion women's tennis team improved to 8-1 on the season, while extending its winning-streak to four after defeating Missouri (5-2) by a 4-0 score on Sunday afternoon at the Mizzou Tennis Complex. ODU is now 2-0 against the SEC this season.
"Man oh man did we fight today," ODU head coach Dominic Manilla said. "Yulia and Alex dropping the first set, in the fashion that they did, and then having the guts to dig out of that hole will be a point of inspiration for us moving forward. Alex's energy carried to other courts and kept us all going. We are motivated and we can't wait to compete again. Go Monarchs!"
The Tennis Monarchs have now outscored their opponents 44-9 so far this season.
Old Dominion will be back in action on Friday, Feb. 14 at 3:00 p.m., when the Monarchs take on Iowa in Iowa City.
