ORLANDO, Fla. – The Old Dominion women's golf team is set to open its spring slate on Sunday, Feb. 2 as they head South to play in the UCF Challenge. The three-day, 54-hole event will be played at Eagle Creek Golf Club. Live scoring will be on Golfstat.
ODU is coming off a solid Fall season, where it placed in the top-5 in all three of its tournaments. Currently, ODU is ranked No. 61 in the country according to Golfstat. Individually, Madison Corley makes her debut as a Monarch after transferring in from UNCP. Reigning Freshman of the Year Jana Melichova is ranked inside the top-100 individually after finishing the Fall with a 70.7 stroke average, which paces the Monarchs in scoring.
The field includes four teams inside the top-15, which includes No. 3 Kent State, No. 13 Michigan State, No. 14 Illinois and No. 15 Oklahoma State.
