NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men's basketball team (6-9, 2-0 C-USA) will travel to the Queen City to take on Charlotte (8-5, 2-0 C-USA) on Jan. 11 for a 4:00 p.m. ET tip, which will stream on ESPN+. The Monarchs enter Saturday's game riding a three-game win-streak and are undefeated in league play, while the 49ers are also 2-0 in Conference USA action.

Saturday afternoon's contest will air across the ODU Sports Radio Network, with Ted Alexander and Dave Twardzik's live pregame show beginning at 3:30 p.m. ET.
All-Time Series:
Saturday will mark the 39th all-time meeting between these two schools, as ODU leads the all-time series, 24-14. The Monarchs have won the past five meetings. Old Dominion swept the 49ers the past two seasons. Saturday will mark the seventh straight season the two programs have played each other. ODU and Charlotte first met during the 1982-83 season, in a game ODU won 78-58. The Monarchs are 8-10 when playing the 49ers in Charlotte.

-Last game, Aaron Carver passed the 500 career rebound milestone. He now has hauled down 502 boards for his career.
-In ODU's last contest, a 58-52 victory over UAB, Kalu Ezikpe went for career-highs for both points (12) and rebounds (14) in just 20 minutes of action. Fellow sophomore teammate, Joe Reece, also recorded a career-high for points, pouring in 10 in 16 minutes against the Blazers. A.J. Oliver II finished with 12 points, two rebounds and one steal. Xavier Green followed with 11 points, two rebounds, one assist and one steal.

Charlotte enters Saturday's contest with an 8-5 overall record and a 2-0 mark in C-USA play. The 49ers also defeated UAB (51-44) and Middle Tennessee (68-62) last week. Charlotte picked up victories against Wake Forest (67-65) and Davidson (71-58) earlier this season.
Jordan Shepard is leading the way so far for the 49ers, averaging 15.4 points per outing, while Jahmir Young follows, going for 11.5 points per game.
Rob Sanchez (SUNY Oneonta '97) is in the midst of his second season at the helm in Charlotte after going 8-21, 5-13 in 2018-19.
