NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women's tennis team (2-0) will play host to Norfolk State on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 1:00 p.m. at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center. Admission is free for all.
The Tennis Monarchs opened up their 2020 spring season with a 7-0 victory over Temple and a 5-0 win against Hampton.
Holly Hutchinson is nationally ranked in singles at the No. 47 spot, while teammate Yulia Starodubtseva is nationally ranked No. 107. In doubles, Yulia Starodubtseva/Alesya Yakubovich are the No. 8 nationally ranked tandem in Division I after winning the ITA Atlantic Region Tournament and advancing to the Semifinals of the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships.
Wednesday afternoon will mark the first match for Norfolk State of the 2020 spring season.
