NORFOLK, Va. – In the first match of the 2020 spring season, the Old Dominion women's tennis (1-0) swept Temple (0-1) by a 7-0 score on Saturday afternoon at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center.
The Monarchs won all six singles matches in straight sets.
"I'm pleased with how we came out today," said ODU head coach Dominic Manilla. "First match nerves were part of it, but we overcame in a big way and got a solid 7-0 win over a good Temple team. We are looking forward to Hampton tomorrow."
Old Dominion will be right back in action tomorrow, when the Tennis Monarchs host Hampton at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center for a 12:00 p.m. start. Admission is free for the public.
