IRVING, TEXAS – Old Dominion University football had seven players receive All-Conference USA accolades, C-USA announced on Tuesday. Defensive end Keion White, linebacker Lawrence Garner and cornerback Kaleb Ford-Dement earned second-team honors, while offensive lineman Isaac Weaver, defensive end Derek Wilder, kick returner Blake Watson and punt returner Darrell Brown were named honorable mention. Watson was named to the C-USA all-freshman team. Votes were conducted by the league's head coaches.

White ranks fourth in Conference USA with 19.0 tackles for loss and tied for the ODU lead with 3.5 sacks. He finished fourth on the squad with 62 tackles. This was his first year playing defense, as he played tight end as a redshirt freshman in 2018.

Garner is second in Conference USA with 111 tackles and 9.2 tackles per game. He became the second Monarch in school history to record two consecutive 100 tackle campaigns. He added seven tackles for loss, one sack and two pass breakups.

Ford-Dement is second in Conference USA and ninth in FBS with 13 pass breakups. He tied for the ODU lead with two interceptions and had 15 passes defended. A junior college transfer playing his third year of football, Ford-Dement added 26 tackles.

Weaver started 11 games on the offensive line, starting nine at center and two at left tackle. Prior to this season, left tackle was the only position he played at Old Dominion.

Wilder finished fourth on the team with seven tackles for loss and added three sacks. He had three-straight games with a sack at one point during the season. He notched 39 tackles and had a team-best six quarterback hurries, along with a forced fumble and fumble recovery.

Watson averaged 26.4 yards per kickoff return and ranks in the Top-20 in FBS in kickoff return average. He had returns of 75 and 64 yards at Marshall, both to set up ODU scores. Watson's honor gives ODU an all-conference kick returner for the third-straight year.

Brown averaged 9.6 yards per punt return and had a 48-yard return in the season finale against Charlotte. He had two punt return touchdowns, one against FAU, the other Charlotte, called back due to a penalty. It is the third time in his career earning an all-conference honor. He was named all-freshman in 2016 and first-team punt returner in 2017.
