MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – Old Dominion University women's swimming and diving finished in fifth and the men's squad placed sixth at the West Virginia University Invitational. The three-day event completed on Saturday night.
The best finish of the day went to Peter Durisin, who was victorious in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:00.87.
Jacklyn VandePoel finished fourth in the 100 backstroke with a time of 55.32.
Jacqueline Tinneny followed VandePoel with a third place spot in the 1650 freestyle, with a time of 17:02.16.
VandePoel earned her second fourth place finish of the day, this time in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:00.50.
Jacob Cobbs took fifth in the 200 backstroke for the men's squad in 1:49.18.
Freshman Summer Miln put together the best female finish of the day with a second in the 100 freestyle with a time of 50.75.
Not to be outdone, Tara Enneking also added a second place finish for the Monarchs, this one in the 200 breaststroke. She recorded a time of 2:18.23.
Enneking had an outstanding weekend for the Monarchs, notching a pair of second place finishes and was ODU's highest female finisher each night.
