NORFOLK, Va. – After being unranked to the start the season, Yulia Starodubtseva/Alesya Yakubovich of the Old Dominion women's tennis team cracked the top 10 of the most recent ITA Doubles Rankings, as ODU's tandem is currently nationally ranked No. 8 after winning the ITA Atlantic Region Tournament and advancing to the Semifinals of the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships. In singles, Holly Hutchinson is nationally ranked No. 47, while Starodubtseva entered the rankings at the No. 107 spot.
In the Quarterfinals of the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships in Newport Beach, Cali., Starodubtseva/Yakubovich took down the No. 3 nationally ranked duo in the land from UNC (Makenna Jones/Cameron Morra) in straight sets 7-5, 6-4, punching the Monarchs ticket to the National Semifinals.
