TULSA, Okla. – Holly Hutchinson and Brooke Pilkington of the ODU women’s tennis team have been selected to compete in the 2019 ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla. beginning on Oct. 9 at the LaFortune Tennis Center and Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
Hutchinson was one of two C-USA players selected to compete in the Main Singles Draw. Hutchinson and teammate Pilkington were the only tandem from the C-USA selected to compete in the Doubles Main Draw. Only 24 doubles teams were selected in the Main Draw.
In the first ITA Rankings of the year, Hutchinson is the No. 48 ranked singles player. In doubles, Hutchinson and Pilkington are nationally ranked No. 27.
Coming off an appearance in the Round of 16 at the ITF 60k in Charleston, S.C., ODU freshman Shalimar Talbi will forego participation in the ITA All-American Championships as she will compete in the ITF 25k in Hilton Head, as well as the Commonwealth Cup in Charlottesville, Va.
